Beautiful Waterfront Suites

We have been coming to Anchor Inn by the Sea with friends and family for more than fifteen years. Our time here is a highlight of our year. It never gets old. The water and island views are remarkable. Fishing boats, cruise ships, sail boats and all types of watercraft pass by hourly. Occasionally we see a pod of orcas in the channel, humpback whales bubble feeding and eagles fishing.  The accommodations are well appointed and comfortable. Mary and Greg are gracious hosts.

July 9-19, 2024 was our first visit to Alaska and to Ketchikan!  We really didn't know what to expect other than to prepare for rainy days and lots of cruise tourists in town. My goals were to visit with my sister in town, take nature walks, see wildlife, take a ferry tour or two, and be able to catch some fish from the shoreline. The ten days we spent at the Anchor Inn were just a fabulous place to stay and a nice break from the downtown. We saw whales, seals, eagles, bears (down the road a bit), and cruise ships with frequency! Most importantly, to me, was the ability to catch Salmon, Rockfish, Ling Cod, and small Halibut from the backyard! Mission accomplished! You will love this Inn and Mary was a perfect host!

This is our second time staying in one of Mary's houses, and she was kind enough to help me find something close to where my son lives, it has been 17 months since we have seen him, so I wanted to feel like our family could just get together share meals, laugh and talk.  Mary has provided that place, and as an Italian mother Captain Morgan's far exceeded my expectations. I was able to cook and bake to my hearts content with the most beautiful view I've ever seen. Thank you for the privilege of staying at your house. We hope to make this, our home away from home when we come to visit our son

We have stayed at the Anchor Inn by the Sea 3 times. We have stayed in each one of the suites and love them all! We would not come to Ketchikan and stay anywhere else! Mary is so pleasant and has everything so well supplied. It is comfortable and decorated very nicely!
